Time to play a little catch-up

So over the last year or so my blog posts have been sparse, if even at all.

With the pregnancy & school, and then moving to Spokane, having the baby, and then moving back home..
I have just had no time to devote to my writing.

Which sucks, cause I really love writing here.

I love this community and all of the wonderful people I have met within it.

Whats happened since I last wrote?

Well you heard me right before, we have moved back to the Seattle area. We still have our place in Spokane, but things were just getting to hectic with the house, & with the baby and I found out its going to take a little extra work to graduate since I've been out of school for so long. Plus we were really unhappy being away from family. So we came to the conclusion that the move was a little premature & after a little shuffling around we have moved back in with Anthony & Melissa like we had when I FIRST started this blog.

It's amazing how things can come back around, huh?

So now that things are starting to settle down, the holidays are in full swing, & little man is old enough to be self entertained for short periods of time,
I've started to end up with a little me time. :)

So my goal this month, is to jump back in whenever I get the chance. I'm not making promises on any literary ingeniousness or anything like that... but at least some minimum participation. :)

Bare with me.. things might get a little bumpy.

And just for fun, a few pictures of my handsome little nugget... he's getting so big!!

It's the end of the world as we know it...

... & I feel fiiiiiiine :)

If your reading this... the world is still spinning. Everything is okay. Nothing has ended.

Go figure.

At this point in my life, I have lived through a few "world-ending" scenarios. I don't tend to feed in to them much.. but I will admit, I did give this one half a second of possibility-inducing fear. I wasn't sure why at first. I talked it over with Ryan, trying to figure it out, & then last night it dawned on me..

I know why this time it scared me:

I actually have something very important to lose.

Any other time, its just been me & Ryan. I was happy, content... my life pretty  much complete. We had eachother, and that was all I ever needed... but now...

...now I have ATLEAST another 50-70 years to happily look forward to!

I don't like any idea that possibly takes those happy moments from me..
I want those 50-70 years!!

Thankfully, this is just another one of those catastophies that the world has to go through every few years... keeps everyone on thier toes, and since nothing happened...
I get to look forward to my happy memories.

Yesterday, we took our new pictures for the month.

 Week 21
Baby is about the length of a banana!

...Baby has come a long way from just a little grape. :)

We also did the dreaded belly shot. Now know, that I absolutly hate this one... cause I look EXACTLY the same in every shot since I'm already on the thicker side...

Until this month:

BOOM! There's a BABY in there! :D
*Aaaaaand I've LOST a total of 20lbs since MARCH!*

I can finally FEEL the baby! I'm so excited... all these little things that tell me that the baby is actually there... not just cramps, sleepiness, & constant nausea.

Everything now is counting down the days till we get another chance to find out what our little baby is! The day after Christmas, we have an appointment with a specialist to double check a few things.. and they have a ultrasound machine that is way more detailed than the ones we've been using... so hopefully, this time, my stubborn little baby will take the umbilical cord from between its legs & let us see what exactly it's name will be!!

Ugh! 6 days... it feels like an eternity!!

Are you serious?!?!?!?!

..please excuse my absence...

I know I've not been around the past few days,
& I can guarantee I will be absent for a few more...
I'm trying to get my house ready for impending doom.

or in otherwords:
Me being out of it trying to recover from the removal of this:

Yup. THAT thing laying down on it's side is my back WISDOM TOOTH. uugh. I have never had any teeth pulled or anything before, and when this one cam in I knew something was wrong. I got really sick, was in alot of pain, even got a huge infection down the whole side of my jaw. But when I took the meds to clear that up, the pain went away. Yea, the tooth gave me a little trouble here & there... but for the most part I got used to it. I did notice a huge spike in my teeth clenching & migranes, but I figured all of the was from stress from recent events...

Well yes, stress & the fact that I have a giant TOOTH lodging it's way into my JAW!

....Sheesh-la-weese....

So on Thurday, I get to go in for my first ever "Surgery."

& to be honest, I'm absolutely petrified.

I don't do doctors, nurses, or dentists... (hence how this GOT so bad!)
I also do NOT do shots or gas-masks.
i have Waaaaaay to much anxiety & wil actually go into a panic attack.

Fun for me, riiiiiiight?

Yup.

But because my MIL is so awesome, She has set up with her boss
(She works in a dental office) that I will come see him.

Why is this better you ask???

Because instead of Novocaine or Laughing Gas,
to knock me silly on the way there & get me on an IV sedative drip, I get this:

Yea, did I mention THAT will also be a first for me???

Fun times for Hubby.

So if you do not hear from me for a few days, do not fret.
I'm either sleeping, or sitting on the couch drooling wondering who the hell I am.

Don't worry, He has promised to take pictures JUST for all of you.

Yeeeeeay me.

Is timing everything??

Is timing everything?
All the right things, always said at all the wrong times. Always wondering
"What if I had thought of that?"

... if I wasn't a perpetual ten minutes late to everything .. would my life be different?
Id have to say i think this is a life battle we all deal with in one aspect or another in each of our lives. Something starts that maybe we didn't catch on to as soon as everyone else.. or maybe thought it better not to till the time was too late.
What ever the reason time can be a GREAT enemy.

Lets try and put in into perspective.

what do we get with time?
Older (grey hairs), maturity (puberty), confidence (loss of reality),
understanding (bills), experience (aches & pains...and lots of Advil.
True to its natural ups and downs,
life likes to give us a roller coaster of stories to relate back to.
But do we ever learn?
I know I don't.

I know that when my alarm goes off for the ump-teenth time at 7:05 in the morning because I set it to go off earlier than needed.. and then chose to ignore it... I know I then have only ten minutes to get ready and leave so that I can catch the last break in traffic so I don't get stuck for an hour on the way to work.
But I will still always hit that snooze one more time so I can pretend to sleep for 10 more minutes before giving myself a heart attack running around with my head cut off and then making that last ditch effort by going through my coffee stand line which in turn takes longer than just going into 7-11 and making my own. Then upon arriving to the freeway (which is already backed up to kingdom-come) it is then & ONLY then that I will remember that I forgot my cellphone at home.

This is life.
As soon as I am halfway through my coffee, relishing in the sweetness of the vanilla latte dream I am experiencing along with my mini granola bar... I realize that because I was late and forgot my cell phone.. I was able to enjoy this hour to myself. Listening to my music, sipping away. No phone calls, no worries..
 Just simple ME time.

Something we don't get enough of these days.
I realize that in this day and age we are all in such a rush to get so much done all at once that we don't realize we are stressing ourselves into a place where (God forbid) the power goes out and I can't read my email or check that blog... If the wind blows to hard and I lose reception I might not get that phone call from my co worker... and if I stop to take a look t this beautiful sky in front of me, or smile at the child I hear laughing in the car next to me, or take a deep breath

... my world might crash down around me.

 Time is a precious thing.
Instead of cramming it with a million things that must be done, one has to remember to take the time to appreciate all the things that have come from that already accomplished. Otherwise, what is the point of rushing to do anything at all if you cant sit back and enjoy the outcome of what you have already done?

Is timing everything?

Yes, I have to say it is...but not in the sense that we must be punctual and on time, and fit all in that we can. But more in the sense that if we realize that what happens happens.. and whats meant to be will be.

The world will still keep spinning.

In the words of a wise, dear old friend:
"When standing on the railing of a bridge, looking down at the river passing slowly beneath you, like the river, you will suddenly know all there is to know. Why rush and worry?
We will all get where we are going eventually."
