Confessions of a Corn Fed Girl

Our newest MFB is a new blogfriend of mine,
introduced to me by last months MFB, Lauren!
In the last month I have gotten the privilege to sneekpeek our newest gal,
& let me tell ya, IM HOOKED!! :D
Please allow me to introduce you to your newest blog addiction, Johi from

1. Tell us a little about yourself.
My short story is that I am a stay-at-home mom to two adorable young boys (Thing 1 and Thing 2) and married to a wonderful man (with a porn star name- Brock Wagner). Humor keeps us going when sleep is scarce and time is rushed. We really enjoy exercising, outdoor activities and horseback riding, but since we no longer get to do that because we are slaves to our offspring, we drink wine and watch bad TV. I also try to garden and make healthy gluten-free meals for my family. Sometimes we eat cereal for dinner.

I am also a bit of an butt-hole, but I think it works for me. *smiley face*

This is what I would look like if I had tail fins and ate wheat.

We are just your basic dorks. Yes, I have a
dimple on one side only, under my eye. Charming, huh?

2. What is your favorite Lazy Sunday routine?
I have two kids under the age of four. Lazy Sundays don't exist anymore.
Neither does sleep, alone time or vacation time.

Haha! We are cute and you are TIRED!

3. Why/how did you get started blogging?
I started going cross-eyed and then I actually thought my head was going to explode. Then I realized that I needed to enhance my stay-at-home mom status with actually finishing a sentence. Then I tried to comment on my friend's blog and it demanded that I "start your own blog for free!" and I love free shit. Hence I started writing. Since I started blogging I also learned that I spell better when I am drunk.Who knew?!? Years of drunk photography classes only produced blurry photos..... oh college!

4.What is your favorite "Lose Yourself" book of the moment?
I'm going to have to go with *running to nightstand to see what I am currently reading because I forgot* The Girl Who Kicked in The Hornet's Nest.

Love me some girl power vindication.....

5. How did you come up with the name of your blog?
My friend spoon fed it to me. I like her a lot. I'm actually a bit allergic to corn, yet I still eat corn chips like they are going out of style (because I am a moron) .
6. What is you favorite movie of the moment?
My husband always watches the Encore Westerns Channel. He is actually watching it right now. That is really super exciting for me.... Good thing we have the Internet (and that I can read) and Netflix. The Fighter was amazing. Red was funny and entertaining. We also watched The Kids Are Alright and both liked it.

The theater is a rare and special treat. I really want to see Bridesmaids. See number 2.

7. What is your favorite thing to blog?
Um. Self-deprecating humor? I like to "keep it real".

8. What is your top "sing&dance your heart out"
song of the moment?
I enjoy singing Rumor Has It by Adele at the top of my lungs.
I'm pretty sure that I am the only one who enjoys my rendition.

9. Link the top 3 favorite blogs you wrote, & tell us what was behind your writing them.
I don't know! They can't all be winners, right? I'll go with a variety:
The funny: Read the Dove Dark Chocolate Portion of this
The "this seriously happened to me": The Elevator
and one extra from the mind of a preschooler: Read this

10. Who/what do you want to be when you
"Grow up"?
Independently wealthy.... and inspirational.... and shit like that.

11. Link the top 3 blogs you read.
Your "Daily Must Checks"

I need

and

They complete me.

12. Describe/show your top "Can't live without" Item
Coffee, chocolate, water, sleep, my teeth, humor and moisturizer. Are people considered "Items"? Because my friends are awesome and I definitely don't want to live without them. And my Things. Oh, my cute, sweet Things! Momma loves you. And Brock, clearly. He loves me AND he fixes stuff. Bonus!

13. Whats your favorite time of the year?
Any time except winter, where I want to huddle somewhere in the fetal position until it is over. Spring and Fall are particularly special to me.

14. What is something you would like to
try in the future of your blog?
I think I would like to chronicle my husband and I refurbishing an old home. People like drama and ripping apart a house with your spouse is a sure fire way to create drama. Plus, our fights are funny and stupid. Plus, it would be like a "How to react like a 12 year old because you feel unstable in your living environment" manual and I have always liked to lead by example, because I'm a Leader!

15. If you could re-live any moment in your life,
when & why?
My wedding; because it was ridiculously amazing and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. (My husband just asked me: With the same person? and I laughed and said: Yes.)

Now do you see what I mean?? Awesome, I know...
