Oh boy...I'm going to really date myGrammaself here....two favorite childhood books...The Littlest Reindeer and The Littlest Angel; written in 1946. I received them several years later, in the 50's. Still have both of them.
Book was either The Velveteen Rabbit or The Adventures of Peter Rabbit and Friends. Movie was and still is Jim Henson's The Labyrinth (with David Bowie).

My mom would read I Love You Forever to us as kids.. and Labrynth was my favorite movie :) still an epic favorite!!
